Setup: Do not place the Risen One at the start of the game. When the Chaos Rift opens, place the Risen One in the Chaos Rift.
Combat: Choose any number.
Chaos Rift Struggle: If an empire places a unit or building of cost 2 or more into the Rift, all other empires (even Chaos) lose 1 Power. If multiple empires do this, the effect repeats.
He Has Risen: When the Chaos Rift closes, relocate the Risen One to the Sky Dome, placed so its base overlaps all the areas there. The Risen One's special abilities are not active before this occurs.
Reality (Action: Cost 1): All player may use this action. Move the Risen One (see Hastur Rising), then select an area in which the Risen One is present and select an empire in that area. The Risen One immediately battles that empire in that area. It destroys a building in the area if no units remain after the battle.
Hastur Rising (Ongoing): The Risen One is considered to be present in every area its base overlaps. When you move the Risen One, select an area adjacent to one of its current areas, then place it in that area so its base overlaps neighboring areas as you choose.
Killing The Risen One: The Risen One's controller chooses and rolls any number of combat dice. If the Risen One scores more kills than the other side has total units involved in the battle, the Risen One is eliminated and its opponent gains its reward. Otherwise, the Risen One is immune to kills, eliminations, and routs.
Reward: If the Risen One is eliminated in a battle against you, after the battle is over immediately search through the rune deck and take one rune of your choice.
Notes: We recommend no more than 1 Chaos Monster be used in a given game.
