Gain 1 VP; then select an area containing units belonging to two separate empires. Select those two empires immediately engage in battle. You choose which side is designated as the attacker.

Behemoth! |
Battle: turn ALL misses rolled in this battle into routs.

Change! |
Choose any building on the map. Swap its location with a building of the same cost that belongs to another player.

Chaos! |
Gain 2 VP. If you are Chaos, you only gain 1 VP.
|

Chaosium! |
Play when someone else discards a rune. You may take that rune as your own.
|
|
Darkness! |
Gain 1 VP; then select any or all units in Hell. Place those units at the Gates of Dawn. No permission is required for this exit.

Death! |
Pre-Battle: Gain 1 VP, then add +2 battle dice to a chosen side. You do not have to be a participant in this battle.

|
Disorder! |
All other players choose whether to lose 1 VP or 1 Power.
|
|
Dragon! |
Place a dragon token on the map. This token now counts as one of your greater gods, with a combat of 2. If this unit is killed, remove it permanently from the game.

Dragonewt! |
Gain 1 VP, then replace an enemy minion with a minion from your pool. Return the enemy minion to its owner's pool.
|
|
Fire! |
Gain 1 VP if you have a unit in the Skydome, OR 2 VP if you have a building there.
|
|
Earth! |
Select a player. That player decides whether to receive 1 Power or 1 VP. You take twice the chosen reward.
|
|
Farm! |
Destroy your own building, removing it from the map. Earn 2 Power.
|
|
Fate! |
Gain 1 VP. Then, the empire(s) with the fewest VP gains 2 VP.
|
|
Harmony! |
The empire(s) with the greatest amount of Power loses 1 Power. The empire(s) with the least amount of power gains 1 Power.
|
|
Heat! |
Gain 1 VP; then destroy an enemy's least expensive building.
|
|
Hell! |
Select one unit belonging to any empire. Relocate that unit to Inner Hell.
|
|
Heroquest! |
Replace any minion with a hero or lesser god from that empire's unit pool.
|
|
Hunger! |
Select an enemy empire. That empire loses 1 VP. You gain 1 Power.
|
|
Illusion! |
Play immediately after a rune is played by another player. Copy the effects of that rune as if you had played yourself.
|
|
Infinity! |
After taking an action, take a second action.
|
|
Kill! |
Select a unit in play. You may kill that unit by paying an amount of Power equal to the unit's cost, minus one.
|
|
Law! |
Name any action. The next player to take that action loses 1 VP.
|
|
Leadership! |
Select up to 3 enemy empires. Each enemy you select gains 1 VP. You gain 1 power for every enemy selected.
|
|
Life! |
Gain 1 VP; summon your least-expensive available unit (for free) to one of your buildings.
|
|
Light! |
Select another player to choose whether you earn 1 VP or 2 Power.
|
|
Lightbringer! |
Gain 1 VP and 1 Power.
|
|
Luck! |
Play when you earn a rune. Look at the top 3 runes from the stack and pick one. Discard the other two.

|
Magic! |
Gain 2 Power.
|
|
Man! |
Post-Battle: Gain 1 VP for each of your minions killed in that battle.
|
|
Mastery! |
Gain 2 VP.
|
|
Monster! |
This token now counts as one of your mortal minions, with a combat of 2. If this unit is killed, remove it permanently from the game.

Moonrise! |
Gain 2 VP; advance the Lunar Cycle to dying Moon if Moon is in play.
|
|
Moonset! |
Gain 1 VP; advance the Lunar Cycle 1 step if Moon is in play.
|
|
Plant! |
Upgrade your lowest-cost building for free, even if you don't have the requirements (e.g., the Imbed gift for Chaos). Alternately, you may build your lowest-cost building for free.

Rain! |
Select another player; you each gain 2 Power.
|
|
Secret Air! |
All players with more VP than you lose 1 VP. Gain those VP.
|
|
Secret Chaos! |
Kill any empire's unit, other than Sun God. That unit's owner receives Power equal to the unit's cost.
|
|
Secret Darkness! |
Gain 1 VP; select a[sic] to lose who loses 1 Power.
|
|
Secret Fire! |
Each empire with a lesser god in play earns 1 Power. Each empire with a greater god in play earns 1 VP.

|
Secret Earth! |
Gain 1 VP; choose an empire to lose 1 VP.
|
|
Secret Water! |
Gain 1 VP. Sea also receives 1 VP if in play. (If you are Sea, you receive 2 total VP).

|
Spirit! |
Pre-Battle: Gain 1 VP, then summon any lesser god into the battle area (this unit does not have to belong to your empire) for free.
|
|
Stasis! |
Select an enemy to lose 2 Power.
|
|
Trade! |
Each enemy with Power equal to or less than your own gains 1 Power. You gain 1 Power.
|
|
Truth! |
Select a player. That player must truthfully state what his next action will be, in as much detail as you like.
|
|
Water! |
Gain 1 VP; then reverse the order of play (flip the First Player Token).
